25/52 of 2010: Pairs

A pair of flags (U.S.A. and Michigan) on a cloudy day. This is the Wenonah Park "Friendship Ring" fountain in downtown Bay City (Michigan, U.S.A.) looking out over the Saginaw river. The water feature seems to have been suffering from a broken pump at the time of this photo but according to the The Bay City Times it was at the repair shop.

Yeah, when I lived in Bay City, everyone referred to that as The Great Big Toilet Seat. Nice photo though, Eric! lol

A collection of my thoughts, rants and pictures since November 22, 2008.

During the first year of my blog it was called "Something to say… everyday." That got just a bit tedious, but what else does someone unemployed have to do. The second year of my blog started out sporadic with a post whenever I got around to it but I felt I needed some kind of order. 2010 brought order when I started "A picture a week… every week" loosely following the Flickr group "52.5 of Twenty Ten." By the end of 2011 I was back in the work force so a daily thing wouldn't have worked anyway. For 2011 I decided to actually JOIN the Flickr group "52 of Twenty Eleven" and go by their rules. It was a success with 52 out of 52 pictures posted! Same goes for "52 of 2012!" Now on to "52 in 2013." OF COURSE I might post witty bits of wisdom here and there outside the photo project from time to time. (BTW: clicking on any pic will either show a larger view or go to the Flickr page of that pic.)
