My 52 Week Photo Project

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

After the first year of 'something to say, every day' this blog had no real direction (a lot like me these days) and was being sporadically posted to. Now direction has been found (at least for the blog) and will consist of a photo a week, every week. That gives me 7 entire days to come up with an original blogable photo and perhaps something to say about it. This also means I don't have to think of a witty title for each post. Oh what a relief it is!

I will loosely follow the Flickr group '52.5 of Twenty Ten' and companion Wordpress blog 'fifty two point five' when added inspiration and/or direction is required. I mean I would hate to make an actual commitment and join the group!

A collection of my thoughts, rants and pictures since November 22, 2008.

During the first year of my blog it was called "Something to say… everyday." That got just a bit tedious, but what else does someone unemployed have to do. The second year of my blog started out sporadic with a post whenever I got around to it but I felt I needed some kind of order. 2010 brought order when I started "A picture a week… every week" loosely following the Flickr group "52.5 of Twenty Ten." By the end of 2011 I was back in the work force so a daily thing wouldn't have worked anyway. For 2011 I decided to actually JOIN the Flickr group "52 of Twenty Eleven" and go by their rules. It was a success with 52 out of 52 pictures posted! Same goes for "52 of 2012!" Now on to "52 in 2013." OF COURSE I might post witty bits of wisdom here and there outside the photo project from time to time. (BTW: clicking on any pic will either show a larger view or go to the Flickr page of that pic.)
