Week 19 of 2012 - Contrast

And I was thinking for awhile about the weekly theme "contrast." WHAT could I use for contrast? Hmmmmmmm.........  Then all of a sudden it came to me!

Week 18 of 2012 - Lights

In the velvet darkness
of the blackest night
burning bright
there's a guiding star
no matter what or who you are
there's a light (over at the Frankenstein place)
there's a light (burning in the fireplace)
theres a light, light, in the darkness of everybody's life
The darkness must go
down the river
of night's dreaming
Flow morphia slow
let the sun and light come streaming
into my life
into my life
there's a light (over at the Frankenstein place)
there's a light (burning in the fireplace)
theres a light, light, in the darkness of everybody's life

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I decided to power wash stuff. Started with the fence:

Moved onto the mossy patio:

The patio lead to the sidewalk:

On Tortola the roads and paths and trails were steep!

Feet in paradise

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Rain in paradise? Still spectacular!

RainBOW over my wing. Tortola - BVI.

Week 6 of 2012 - Leap

Leaping Lizards! Went to Tortola and the vacation villa had no screens on the windows so the lizards were leaping throughout the place. At least they were cute. The tarantulas not so cute!

Week 05 of 2012 - Monochrome

Monochrome straight out of the camera with the "monochrome" setting.

Week 04 of 2012 - Shadow

The sun came out for a moment here in this Michigan winter and while shining through the window the blinds made this abstract shadow on the cove ceiling.

Week 3 of 2012 - My Passion

Had to buy a new frig yesterday. After today's delivery it needed beer.
(Passion for beer. NOT for buying new appliances!)

Made it!

Happy New Year!

Successfully took and posted 52 out of 52 pictures for '52 of Twenty Eleven' group with a grand total of 1613 pictures taken and saved to the hard drive for the year. Not sure how many didn't make it to the save folder.

Here is one of my favorite pics of 2011:

Week 52 of 2011 - Looking to the Future

My New Years Photography Resolutions:
- Actually read the photography books I have bought in the past
- Improve my photography (and buy more gear!)
- Do not wait until the last day to take the weekly pic

End of 2011 is soon

'This is Eric's Blog' just changed the Blogger template and the Blogger icon pic. Change is good, right?
As long as it's change we can believe in!

Week 51 of 2011 - Happy Holidays

There's an app for that, too.
I down loaded my Christmas tree to my iPhone for this year.

Just not into it at all this year.

Happy Holidays to all that are into it!
(No, that's not my actual tree. Are you kidding me?!)

This is what it is:

Week 50 revealed:

Week 50 of 2011 - What Is It?

It's green and metal and old.
I removed the well known name off the top.

(The U.S. penny is there only to show size.)

Week 45 of 2011 - Processed Image (Before & After)

SO many things you can do with post processing software. I snapped a boring shot of the bamboo in the corner of my dining room and made it fantastic! If I do say so myself.

Garden gone.

Nothing left but the herbs and the strawberries.
How many days until spring?

Week 44 of 2011 - Food

The last of the food from the garden.

Week 43 of 2011 - Macro

Mmm... wine.
