Harbinger of spring?

Today while waiting in the Henry Ford clinic (for about 3 hours) I got to watch a flock of robins in the trees outside. More robins than anyone can imagine. The trees still had some berries on them that the robins were having for brunch. Are these the first robins of spring? Or just a bunch of lazy robins that didn't leave this frozen never land and head south?
(Come to find out after a quick google search: Although the appearance of a robin is considered a harbinger of spring, the American Robin actually spends the winter in much of its breeding range. However, because they spend less time in yards and congregate in large flocks during winter, you're much less likely to see them.)
Of course I didn't take my camera with me... I mean who would need a camera on a trip to the clinic... so here's an internet pic...
