I went outside a few weekends ago and could see grass and dirt and earth so I screamed "goodbye snow" and of course it snowed another 5 inches that night. This time I will not scream it but blog it since I do not think Mother Nature follows my blog. But she should.
The snow is mostly gone now and it kind of amazes me that in my garden the strawberries (top of pic) and lettuce (bottom of pic) are still green and alive.

We finally lost our snow. Just a few really ugly piles left. The snow acts as a great garden insulator. Perennials should do well this spring.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the snow has protected my mop-head hydrangea's and in the past they've bloomed pretty well in the late summer.
ReplyDeleteI still have a lot of snow, but it should be gone soon.
