Random games

"Random Things"
#3 - I don't like to play games

Why? Is it a phobia? I couldn't find a name for it at phobialist.com but I didn't look too hard. It seemed too much like a game. I loved games as a kid. My grandma and I played cards and board games all summer long (she always lived with us for the summer months). Our favorites were Canasta, Gin Rummy, Payday, Sorry and Yahtzee. Friends and I also played games all the time. The card and board games but also the Atari and Super Nintendo. Maybe I wore out my gaming welcome.

I have been touching a bit on the return to gaming with online Scrabble. This was one of my favorite ones played... since I actually WON. Maybe that's it. Maybe I don't like games because I'm a sore loser. HA!

what's a "qi" or a "rin"? (kinda sounds like "key ring".)

"qi" is a two letter word used in Scrabble.

A collection of my thoughts, rants and pictures since November 22, 2008.

During the first year of my blog it was called "Something to say… everyday." That got just a bit tedious, but what else does someone unemployed have to do. The second year of my blog started out sporadic with a post whenever I got around to it but I felt I needed some kind of order. 2010 brought order when I started "A picture a week… every week" loosely following the Flickr group "52.5 of Twenty Ten." By the end of 2011 I was back in the work force so a daily thing wouldn't have worked anyway. For 2011 I decided to actually JOIN the Flickr group "52 of Twenty Eleven" and go by their rules. It was a success with 52 out of 52 pictures posted! Same goes for "52 of 2012!" Now on to "52 in 2013." OF COURSE I might post witty bits of wisdom here and there outside the photo project from time to time. (BTW: clicking on any pic will either show a larger view or go to the Flickr page of that pic.)
