#2 - I hate spiders

Yes... arachnophobia. This HUGE Black and Yellow Argiope lived in my backyard all last summer. She kept a web in the Dwarf Korean Lilacs alongside my garage. In the fall she moved to the Red Barberry outside my bedroom window where she decided to leave her egg sac full of a billion babies. I don't think SO!

Did you kill her?? You know, the Japanese say that spiders are the souls of our ancestors. Don't steal a soul!

If I had known this was living at your house, I wouldn't have visted my mother all summer. I'm not kidding.

THAT is a beautiful spider. My DIL (daughter-in-law) doesn't like the fact that our house is a spider friendly house. In my 40's I just decided that I really don't need to kill them...so I don't.

A collection of my thoughts, rants and pictures since November 22, 2008.

During the first year of my blog it was called "Something to say… everyday." That got just a bit tedious, but what else does someone unemployed have to do. The second year of my blog started out sporadic with a post whenever I got around to it but I felt I needed some kind of order. 2010 brought order when I started "A picture a week… every week" loosely following the Flickr group "52.5 of Twenty Ten." By the end of 2011 I was back in the work force so a daily thing wouldn't have worked anyway. For 2011 I decided to actually JOIN the Flickr group "52 of Twenty Eleven" and go by their rules. It was a success with 52 out of 52 pictures posted! Same goes for "52 of 2012!" Now on to "52 in 2013." OF COURSE I might post witty bits of wisdom here and there outside the photo project from time to time. (BTW: clicking on any pic will either show a larger view or go to the Flickr page of that pic.)
